programs, and several Canadian Provinces and European nations. SAIC also analyzed the pros and cons of such programs in the context of California’s current industry and market trends, and produced a detailed report summarizing findings. SAIC also prepared and presented a presentation summarizing the report findings. Later in 2012, CalRecycle began development of a pilot incentive program and directed SAIC to provide support and assistance to inform the effort. This support was provided under the TBAP Industry Wide Contract, Task 7, and is covered in a separate final report prepared for that contract. Task 5.6 Deliverables Provided with Final Contract Report: Report: “Evaluation of Tire Incentive and Extended Producer Responsibility Policies” Power Point Slides: “Tire Incentive an Extended Producer Responsibility Report Summary” 5.7 Promote TDPs to Select Organizations CalRecycle directed SAIC to revise the TBAP Grants contract work plan to allocate some available budget to complement grantee Service Plans by conducting outreach presentations to prospective TDP customers. This would directly reinforce marketing and sales efforts underway by grantees. This activity also allowed for the continuation of outreach activities that had been conducted under the TBAP Industry Wide contract, Task 3 prior to available budget being exhausted in early 2013. The full range of activities undertaken under both the Industry Wide contract, Task 3 and the Grants contract Task 5.7 is comprehensively summarized in the Industry Wide contract final report. In brief, under the Grants contract, Task 5.7 specifically, SAIC maintained and developed a wide range of outreach resources including preparation of several case studies, updates and revisions to power point presentation slides, and development of a Frequently Asked Questions document. SAIC also continued to conduct outreach presentations to state, local, federal and private sector agencies and firms. And, SAIC tracked all this activity in an outreach tracker spreadsheet. Table 5 below summarizes the number of outreach presentations conducted under both TBAP contracts, and under the Grants contract specifically. SAIC also provided support to CalRecycle’s outreach to Caltrans intended to promote increased approval and use of TDPs by that agency.
