Achievements: Implemented AOL best practices in direct marketing channels by launching and increasing the scope and complexity of testing. Led to increased registration rates and an annual decrease in cost per registration of $75. Partnered with US Research and AOL Technology organizations to understand consumer registration behavior and uncover and correct problems with AOL registration process. Led to the completion of a web registration product that lifted registration success rates by 20%. Consolidated retail contractors, improved merchandising operations, and increased marketing collateral production efficiency for $5.1M in annual savings. AOL – Dulles, Virginia 2000 – 2001 Director, International Marketing Led efforts within newly created International Marketing Group to transfer knowledge, share best practices and direct marketing efforts from the US and across all international joint ventures, including Europe, Latin America, and Asia. Achievements: Managed best practice distribution through presentations and speaking engagements at Global Marketing Summits and Quarterly European and Latin American summits. Performed detailed and ongoing marketing assessments for a number of struggling markets, such as Japan, Australia and Latin America. Led development and implementation of turnaround plans for these markets. Led efforts within AOL International on structuring marketing aspects of current and future Joint Ventures in Japan, China, Italy, Spain, and Brazil. AOL – Dulles, Virginia 1998 – 2000 Director, Partner Marketing Developed and managed multiple Partner Marketing relationships designed to drive subscriber growth and revenue for AOL. Achievements: Reorganized team and restructured or cancelled over 250 partnerships to focus on 20 profitable and strategic relationships for AOL. Even with the reduction in partnerships, was still able to grow customer subscriptions annually and with an improved ROI. Developed and managed a number of our key PC Bundling partnerships including Dell, Compaq, IBM, and Gateway. Consistently surpassed quarterly registration goals while remaining under budget.
