PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
2009 - Present PRI Construction Materials Technologies, Inc. Tampa, FL Director, Client Services • Directed business development activities and developed new markets for leveraging PRI' s assets. • Responsible for growing and maintaining portfolio of clients. • Managed laboratory operations and personnel for routine testing operations, maintenance, calibration, and training. • Championed engineering activities during implementation of new equipment and methods. Activities include development of equipment/design specifications, engineering analysis, procurement, fabrication, and validation. • Originated and administered company databases. • Reviewed laboratory test data and authored laboratory test reports. • Managed multi-product biologics manufacturing facility that supports process development and cGMP manufacturing of phase I clinical candidates through commercial launch. Direct and in-direct reports consisted of supervisors, process engineers, scientists, and manufacturing technicians. • Enhanced productivity and quality through process and equipment optimization resulting in ~10% increase of bulk product. Changes resulted in increased process robustness and consistency, mitigating batch-to-batch variability. • Led characterization of process scale factors, methodology, and equipment to enable quantitative understanding of process scale-up. • Implemented new manufacturing and analytical technologies that resulted in decreased cycle as well as initiatives in PAT. Examples include disposables cell cultivation systems (Biowaves and Xcellerex Bioreactors), second-line disc-stack centrifuge, off-line and in-situ insh·umentation, and periperal bioreactor systems. • Assisted in the technology transfer of over 20 clinical and commercial projects into manufacturing. Championed investigations, change controls, commissioning, validation, and process data review. • Originated intradepartmental databases to track, trend, and communicate business unit metrics. • Led and participated in harmonization efforts for enhancing Standard Operating Procedures, Batch Records, Work Requests, and Training both interdepartmentally and site-wide. • Subject Matter Expert of process scale-up and large-scale manufacturing for cell culture and separations processes 2002 - 2004 KBI Biopharma, Inc. Atlanta, GA Process Development Engineer • Lead engineer in the development of a proprietary bioreactor technology for biologics manufacturing. • Identified and resolved critical issues dealing with process optimization and scale-up. • Designed and implemented control and equipment subsystems, which included: PLC automation, fluid delivery, aeration/gas exchange, and temperature control. 2005 - 2009 Pfizer (formerly Wyeth Biotech) Andover, MA Development Operations Manager, Cell Culture
