About TheCompanyDirectories Tobest assist catalogusers, five separatedirectories areprovidedon the followingpages:

• Tire-DerivedProductManufacturers –This directory includesmanufacturers of finishedproducts and also marketing firms that ownproperty rights and control productionwhomay contract withothers tomanufacture products. • Tire-DerivedMaterial/Feedstock Suppliers –This directory includes scrap tireprocessors producing crumb rubber, shreddedor chipped tires and/or used, whole tiresmeeting stated specifications. It also includes compounders that incorporate crumb rubber into rawmaterial formulations formanufacturers.

• Retreaders –This directory includes firms that retreadworn tires for reuse.

• Tire-DerivedProduct Installers/California LicensedContractors –This directory includes firms specializing in design and installationof civil engineeringprojects, tire-derivedplayground surfaces, synthetic turf, rubberized asphalt andother tire-derivedproducts.

• List of All Firms Included in theCatalog –This directory lists all firms included in this catalog, alongwith the type of firm somoredetailed information canbe found in theother directories above.

Companiesmay appear inmultipledirectories dependingon their products and services.

Criteria for Inclusion in this Catalog Tobe included, a companymust: • Have a validCaliforniabusiness license andoperateout of aphysical address in the state;

• Demonstrate that listedproductsmanufactured, installedor sold inCalifornia aremadewith100percent California- generatedwaste tires, unlessCalRecycledetermines that the required crumb rubber specification is not currently available inCalifornia;

• Hold a validCaliforniaContractor’s License, if listed as a tire-derivedproduct installer/contractor;

• Own the rights to their products.Marketing firms are included if theyown theproduct rights anduse contract manufacturers toproduceproductsmeeting the criteria above.Marketing, distribution andbrokering firmswhodo not ownproduct rights arenot included. CalRecycle’s intent is toequitably represent all California firms satisfying these criteria. CalRecycle reserves the right toexclude firms if their status anduseof California tires cannot be confirmed, and toexclude theuseofmarketing materials that it determines donotmeet thequality standards typically used in this industry, or which contain claims of a questionableor falsenature. CalRecycle also reserves the right to limit thenumber of sell sheets, Internet addresses and other information included for each company.
